Know what happened on the shift

A phone time clock with a clearer record of the day.

A time clock should help managers understand the work behind the hours. Shift Hub connects phone clock-ins, scheduled work, location checks and a review queue for punches that need attention.

01 / THE WORKFLOW

One sign-in for the employee’s working day

Employees use their own account to clock in and out and see their shifts. Managers can check who is currently working across locations. The server selects eligible published work for a punch, and a person cannot hold two open punches at once.

02 / THE WORKFLOW

Make exceptions visible

Location checks help surface punches that need a closer look. If a person forgets to clock out, the app can close stale work using the roster or a backstop. A backstop is an estimate, not a statement of when the employee left. Unconfirmed estimates remain visible and excluded from hourly pay totals until reviewed.

03 / THE WORKFLOW

Correct hours using the real finish time

An employee can submit a missed-punch request. A manager reviews the evidence, enters the actual date and time, and records a reason for the correction. Independent review prevents managers from approving their own hours. The correction keeps the prior context so the change can be understood later.

  • Confirm the actual start, finish and break with the employee.
  • Check for overlapping entries before approving a correction.
  • Review the affected week after the correction.

See the process in a walkthrough

Ask to see a normal clock-out, an overnight shift and a missed-punch correction. These cases reveal whether a tool makes payroll preparation easier. Shift Hub’s demo uses the same workflow you would use to find and settle an exception.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Questions about employee time clock.

Have a question about your team’s setup? Talk it through with us.

Is an estimated clock-out paid automatically?

Unconfirmed estimated hours contribute zero to hourly pay totals until a human confirms or corrects them. Fixed salary is handled separately, while the attendance record still needs review.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Clock mutations require a connection. The current app does not promise offline clock-in synchronization.

Will every phone receive push reminders?

Push delivery depends on installation, device permissions and browser support. We check the intended devices during setup; viewing the app does not itself enable notifications.

It all works together.
