Prepare the hours before payroll

Timesheet review with the exceptions in plain sight.

A weekly total is easier to trust when the exceptions are visible. Shift Hub connects worked hours and corrections so a manager can understand the record behind the total. Payroll approval and export for new pilots stay disabled until the company’s rules and handoff are validated.

01 / THE WORKFLOW

Start with the unresolved work

Review missed-punch requests and auto-closed entries before approving the week. A guessed clock-out is shown as an exception and contributes zero to hourly pay totals until confirmed or corrected. Weekly approval blocks submitted sheets that still contain held estimates.

02 / THE WORKFLOW

Keep different kinds of pay distinct

Hourly wages use the rate effective at the start of the punch when rate history is available. Salaried employees appear with fixed weekly pay even when they have no punches. Qualifying per-shift allowances are shown separately from wages.

  • Use hourly totals for actual payable work.
  • Review salary as fixed pay and attendance as a separate question.
  • Keep reimbursements separate from wages in the export.
03 / THE WORKFLOW

Preserve the record when rates change

New hourly-rate edits save an effective-dated history, including the previously configured rate. Later rate changes can then preserve past hourly calculations. Rate history that was never recorded cannot be recreated automatically, so older imports still need a verified starting point.

04 / THE WORKFLOW

Hand reviewed data to your payroll process

The existing operation’s CSV workflow includes punch detail, weekly totals, held-hour explanations, salary and allowances. A new pilot cannot approve payroll or export a payroll file until its pay rules and handoff are validated. In a walkthrough, we review your required fields and provider. Shift Hub does not file taxes, remit deductions or move money to employees.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Questions about timesheet review.

Have a question about your team’s setup? Talk it through with us.

Is Shift Hub a full payroll processor?

No. Shift Hub supports time-record review. The existing operation has a CSV handoff; payroll approval and export for a new pilot require separate validation. Tax calculations, statutory deductions, remittances and direct deposit are not offered.

Does the app certify payroll compliance?

No. The current pay rules are configured for the existing operation. A new customer’s pay periods, overtime, breaks and other requirements must be reviewed before use.

Can someone approve their own timesheet?

Weekly approval requires an independent reviewer and a submitted sheet. Unresolved held estimates must be settled first.

It all works together.
